Adjusting the Lap Band
The band has a balloon from the inside that can be adjusted and can decrease stoma size, thereby contributing to the period of fullness.
Lap band adjustment is an easy procedure and relatively painless, as a lap band doctor will inject saline into a port situated beneath the skin in the wall of the stomach. The tube that comes off of the lap band directs its way to the port.
Patients should know and remember that the number of lap band adjustments will vary for each individual who has the Lap Band Operation.
